Tenerife, a Spanish island, is the largest of the seven Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. It is the most populated island of the Canary Islands and Spain. The biggest island of archipelago is located between island Gran Canarya on the southeast and small Homer island on the southwest. Tenerife is the largest tourist centre on archipelago, and one of the first in Spain.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the capital of the island.
Tenerife is an ideal place for various and unusual rest at any time year.
Basic information
The island has a network of high quality hotels, and there are two large centres of tourism: one in the fertile north, and another - on solar south.
Nature
The exclusive climate and the unique nature full of contrasts and heavenly spots. The island name means "White mountain" as a huge volcanic mountain Teide with snow-white top towers over all archipelago of islands. The island has a volcanic origin and enters into group of volcanic islands along with the Azores, islands of Cape Verde and Madiera.
